Mew Ichigo

Ah...Tokyo Mew Mew, the first Shojo/magical girl series that made me get into the Shojo genre. TMM also started my fanmade mew phase lol
I think TMM started my manga collection. It also got me into drawing anime styles more seriously (but what was this, 5 years ago?)

Ichigo might've been my second favorite (Zakuro being my first xD). She was the first character I cosplayed, but I didn't realize it was cosplaying since it was just for Halloween. And I don't have any photos OTL I noticed that, personality wise, I'm like her. Less of a spazz though, jk jk xD

Well, enough about my past xD When I started drawing this on Open Canvas, I didn't intend it to be Ichigo. At some point I was like 'Oh, maybe I should do TMM fanart'. So I did.

My favorite part in the end are the eyes. I tried to keep it close to the style from the cover of Volume 1 of the manga. Another thing I liked is the hair, even though it took the most time. When I draw hair, I prefer drawing the individual strands of hair instead of just drawing a base then shading.
The one thing I'm not too happy about is the cat ears. The way it's drawn is okay, its just the proportion :/
But oh well, I only started this as a doodle XD
